About Us
JJ Wear is a small, family-owned business inspired by our son JJ, who was born with Holt-Oram Syndrome—a rare genetic condition that affects the heart and upper limbs. JJ was born with eight holes in his heart and had limited arms and shoulders. By 18 months old, he had undergone three heart surgeries and had a pacemaker placed.
As JJ grew, we realized the difficulty in finding clothing that met his unique needs. That’s when the idea of JJ Wear was born—starting with specially tailored shirts just for him. As we researched adaptive clothing, we saw a greater need in the community. To help fund the development of inclusive designs, we began creating T-shirts that celebrate the love and pride people have for their friends and family with special needs.
A portion of every sale goes toward our dream of making comfortable, adaptive clothing accessible for all—whether that means 5XL and larger sizes, extra-long shirts, or shirts designed for specific medical needs.
JJ Wear’s mission is simple: to make life easier with clothing that truly fits every body.
